Destiny 2 is about to unleash a whole host of classic weapons with amazing perks as of next week, including one of its most famous wave-frame grenade launchers with even better perks this time.

However, before that, Iron Banner has introduced Tusk of the Boar, a Strand wave-frame grenade launcher that sits in your top slot and has Forebearence-like Chain Reaction available as a roll. It’s definitely something worth farming, albeit trying to get one to drop so they can be focused is driving some people insane. But once you do have one? You probably want to consider going until you get one of these god rolls, or demi-god rolls:

• Envious Assassin/Chain Reaction – Load up those rounds and let loose for chain-kills without instantly reloading. Similar to the Ambitious Forbearance roll. Probably going to be the top pick for many people here.
• Splice/Hatchling – If you want a Strand-focused roll, largely for PvE, this is a good bet, though I still might do Envious in the first slot. Hatchlings may synergize better with your build than Chain Reaction.
• Slideways/Chain or Hatchling – A good first column option if that fits your playstyle well. You can get around its cooldown with weapon swapping.
• Anything/Deconstruct – Okay so this one gets a little screwy. Because of the nature of wave-frame grenade launches, putting Deconstruct on this counts apparently as multiple hits so you can essentially have infinite ammo a lot of the time against constructs, which includes things like wells and bubbles. As in, this one weapon can theoretically wipe those out with bonus damage and infinite refills. Execution may not always be perferct, but it’s one of the wilder things this weapon can do. It may end up getting patched though at a future point.

Even with just six perks in a column, there are some pretty solid options here. It’s possible powercrept 2.0 Forebearence will still end up outdoing it, but it’s certainly something good to have in your arsenal. And the Deconstruct thing is pretty wild and unique at this point, so save any you get with that perk alone for now. Long term, who knows, but for now it’s doing work.

This will likely be in the Iron Banner pool for a good long while, so it’s not super urgent to get it like literally this weekend or anything. But if you want it before Final Shape? Yeah, not a whole lot of chances before then.
